Course content:Examination of the digital exchange (S12) manual operator system. Examination of the digital switching network. Examination of the analog subscriber signalling. Analysis of the charging and billing subsystem. Examination of system modules (the peripheral and load module and the clock and tone module). Examination of termination modules (analog subscriber modules, digital trank modules and service circuit modules). Analysis of the numbering and routing subsystem. Analysis of the database subsystem. Setting up and examining centrex functionality. Examination of the terminal and auxiliary control elements. Examination of properties of a telephone channel.
Learning outcomes:Obtaining practical knowledge of signalling and acquiring hands-on skills in setting up digital switching system.
