Digital Signal Processors TS1A510210
Course content:
Structure of microprocessor systems. Fixed and floating point data representation. Digital signal processors characteristics. DSP architecture: central processing unit, addressing modes, memory, interrupts, DMA, memory cache, serial ports, timers, input/output peripherals. Programming of digital signal processors. DSP instruction set, assembler, compiler, linker. Software development using assembler, software optimization, software development tools. Controlling of the peripheral controllers. Controlling of the A/D and D/A converters; signal acquisition, real time data processing. DSPs implementation of selected digital signal processing algorithms.
Labs: Practice in DSP programming and software development. DSP implementation of selected signal processing algorithms. Student projects.
Learning outcomes:
Student knowledge and skills in Digital Signal Procesor software development and DSP implementation of basic signal processing methods.
