Course content:
1. Introduction to PLDs.
2. Architectures of FPGAs and ASICs.
3. CAD software in programmable logic design.
4. Design flow of PLDs.
5. Hardware Description Language.
6. PLD’s PCB layout guidelines.
7. Constructing a circuit using PLDs.
8. Constructing a prototype using standard logic
modules.
Learning outcomes:
The purpose of this course is to learn how to describe on-chip digital system and implement it into CPLD and FPGA devices.
