Coding and Transmission of Digital Signals TS1A410203
Course content:Signals and systems. Random processes. Spectral analysis of random signals. Detection and parameters estimation of telecommunication signals. Basic results from information theory. Digital modulation schemes: BPSK, QPSK, AM/PSK, MSK. Digital modulation trade-offs. Multiple access: FDMA, TDMA, CDMA. Channel coding: waveform coding, code rate and redundancy, parity-check codes, coding gain. Linear block codes, cyclic code, well-known block codes used in telecommunication systems. Convolutional encoding, the Viterbi decoding algorithm, time-space codes, trellis-coding. Signal transmission over band-limited channels.
