Course content:
Sociology - concept, nature and scope. Research methods in sociology. Social structures, society - the concept and structure, social communities, social group and its typologies, small social groups: family, social circle, large social groups.
Sociological concept of personality. The typology of personalities, a concept of healthy personality and personality disorders. The role of personality and temperament in professional activities.
The personal, social and intellectual skills and effectiveness at work.
Sociological approach to creativity. Methods for the development of individual and organizational creativity. Innovation in the workplace: the conditions and barriers to innovation; creative thinking.
The man in the process of socialization, conformity as a way to adapt the individual to society.
Power and leadership. Typology of leadership and its scale, charismatic leadership, political , organizational, religious, and social leadership; power and leadership in the organization.
Social and organizational conflict - reasons, ways of solving (mediation, negotiation).
The concept of culture in sociology. Culture as a source of bariers.
Etnocentryzm, prejudices and stereotypes, intercultural differences in terms of communication. Cultural differences by G. Hofstede and business behavior.
Theoretical approche to journey in the social sciences, sociology of journey culture shock.
