Course content:
Lecture:
The concept of management. Management in tourism – spatial and organizational aspects. Determinants of tourism development on community level. Cycle management in tourism. Tourism Policy – including spatial. Objectives, tools and entities of tourism policies. Planning and forecasting in tourism. Strategy as a tool in tourism management. Strategy as a tool in building a competitive advantage. Methodology of construction of tourism development strategy. Identification of key issues of tourism development in the community. SWOT analysis. Strategic development programms. Strategy management. Analysis of selected examples of tourism development strategy.
Activity:
Familiarization with the basic concepts regarding the tourism management. Discussion of construction of tourism development strategy in the community.
Learning outcomes:
Students should be able to manage tourism development on different levels of local government administration.
