Introduction to Biomedical Computer Science SO2204lic
Course content:
Basics of bioinformatics, algorithms for sequence alignment, searching for similar sequences in databases, DNA microarrays, gene expression analysis; medical imaging modalities, algorithms for image reconstruction, aims of image processing and analysis, main steps of the process: global processing, detection and segmentation, characterization, image classification; Cost-sensitive classification; Computer modeling for image understanding; Virtual reality in medicine; Types of biosignal, methods of biosignal processing and analysis.
