Course content:
1. theoretical approach to social communication,
2. impacts of media on people,
3. selected contemporary media systems,
4. new media,
5. agenda-setting theory,
6. media policy,
7. audiences of various media and experiences related to absorbtion of media messages,
8. normative approach to media.
Learning outcomes:
- ability of identification of typical features of contemporary media systems,
- ability of analysing effects of media impacts on people,
- ability of analysing media messages.
