Wastewater Treatment Systems O15022
The scope of the lecture includes a discussion of methods for estimating the quantity and quality of the wastewater, the review of technological processes used in wastewater treatment: one-, two-and three-stage technological systems, methods of treatment and disposal of sewage sludge, deodorization technological objects, monitoring of wastewater plant operation.
The project includes: calculation of the required parameters of wastewaterand sludge treatment, selection of proper technological equipment.

Learning outcomes
student describes the wastewater treatment technologies, estimate the quantity and quality of municipal wastewater and calculate the required purification effect, chose the proper technology of waste water treatment, calculates the required parameters and adjusts the right technological equipment, selects and determines the parameters of sludge treatment methods.
Assessment criteria
Methods of assessment: written exam, project documentation, project discussion. Evaluation criteria: verification of the assumed learning outcomes.
