Winter Semester 2012/13
Advanced manufacturing technologies MIB2S12004M
Lecture: Innovative technologies, materials engineering. Modern techniques of design support: rapid prototyping, reverse engineering. Electrochemical machining, electro, laser, loose abrasive. New trends in machining - high-speed processing, processing of materials able to drive. Biomodelowanie - the processes and applications in medicine. Modern methods of cutting materials. Technique for powder metallurgy materials. Modern methods of consolidation of powders: induction, microwave, laser, SPS (called spark plasma sintering), HIP (hot isostatic pressing). Nanotechnology.
Lab: Laser cutting. The process of rapid prototyping based on selected medical devices. Milling centers and CNC lathes. Electro-cutting wire. Digitizing the surface of objects with complex shapes. Mechanical alloying metal powders. Technologies of bone fixation elements - a visit to the manufacturing plant.
Project: Make a design process of the item of medical, such as prostheses, suggest the technique of producing and choose the parameters of the process and make technological documentation on OSN.
