Course content:
Subject areas: Equipment, properties of materials , danger, innovations, priorities.
Grammar: noun and adjective phrases used for describing properties, Future Perfect grammatical tense, superlative adjectives, expressions used for describing similarities and differences (e.g. instead of, resemble, unlike, except)

Students use the English language at B2 level in everyday contacts and in professional situations
Assessment criteria
Assessment: written tests, spoken and written home assignments, active participation in classes
During the semester, the student may be awarded maximum 100 points:
- 60 points for one or more tests. One test will include elements of reading and listening comprehension.
- 40 points for different types of projects and assignments, including speaking tasks.
The final grade is calculated according to the number of points awarded during the whole semester.
Students can only take the final examination after having obtained a credit for the semester.
Grading system:
Unsatisfactory (grade 2.0):
The student's overall score for the semester is below 51 points.
Satisfactory (grade 3.0):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 51 - 60 points.
Satisfactory + (grade 3.5):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 61 - 70 points.
Good (grade 4.0):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 71 - 80 points.
Good + (grade 4.5):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 81 - 90 points.
Excellent (grade 5.0)
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 91 - 100 points.
