Forestry Economics LN5049
Course content:Purpose and scope of the economics of forestry. The economics of forest production, forest functions and farm forestry. Effectiveness of management in forestry and methods of its determination. Factors of forest production. Costs of forest production, types of costs. The theoretical basis for the pricing of timber. Rudiments of estimating the value of forests and trees; static, empirical, and array. Estimation of losses in the stands according to the classical methods. Calculation and interpretation of indicators of economic efficiency. Rudiments of labour economics, working conditions, production goals, time costs and costs in forestry. Indicators of working time and methods for their determination. Methods for determining the efficiency of work in forestry. Efficiency.
Learning outcomes:Basic knowledge of the economics of forestry, the ability to analyze and interpret basic economic indicators for forest management.
