Description:
Explanation to the subject, basic concepts: definition of civilization, culture and art, and the relationship between these concepts. Types of units, worship, myth, symbol, allegory, metaphor, etc. Natural cultural roots - forests, woods and trees as a source of raw materials (building materials, food, Wed Medical) shelter and places of worship. Presentation of the different definitions of terms - tree and forest. Forest in architecture and arts depicting eg.: sculpture, painting, art newest (photo, video). Forest in the decorative arts and creativity, “mass”. Forest in the literature. Las things “silva rerum” - the forest mythological symbolic. The symbolism of plants and animals. Jokes and fabrication, caricature, hunting slang, proverbs, sayings, parables, aphorisms and superstitions. For students who like arts, poetry, painting, film, etc.
Aims and objectives:
The forest as a source of creative inspiration. Examples of the influence of the forest and its inhabitants to European culture.
