Description:
Students should acquire some understanding and appreciation of a computer system's functional components, their characteristics, their performance, and their interactions. Students will understand computer architecture, internal implementation of a computer at the register and functional unit level, and also the organisation of control structures and microprogramming, memory management, caches, and memory hierarchies and interrupts and I/O structures.

Requirements:
Digital logic design, Boolean algebra, HLL language programming
