Summer Semester 2019/20
The advanced computer analysis of building structures IS-FCEE-00162
Description:
Description:
Learning objectives are available in the following areas: calculation of internal forces and displacements
in 2D and 3D structures, such as frames, plates, and another complex structures, using computer
software support. Calculation of structures in static, dynamic and nonlinear phase, correct interpretation
of calculation results and their use in design processes.
Skills: Student has knowledge in range of Finite Element Method and of structural modeling in FEM. He
has knowledge of the interpretation of the results of computer calculations. He can calculate internal
forces and displacements for static and dynamic loads. He is able to build computer models of bar, plate
and complex structures in linear and nonlinear phase. He can interpret the results of computer analysis.
Requirements:
The students should have passed the subjects: Theoretical Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Structural Mechanics
