Project with use of electronic computational technique IŚ2S21226
Development of the structure and concept of a heating and ventilation system in a service and residential building.
Creation of a three-dimensional model of a service and residential building using available computer programs.
Determination of the seasonal consumption of thermal energy by the designed building.
Selection of a specific heating and ventilation system based on floor and convection heating, central heating distribution system, heat source and ventilation system with heat recovery.
Calculations of the design heat load and seasonal energy consumption.
Performing hydraulic calculations of central heating systems and selection of devices included in the heating and ventilation system.
Development of an alternative heating and ventilation system with minimal energy consumption.
Defense of the completed project and proposed alternative technical solutions.

Learning outcomes
The graduate knows and deeply understands the construction, principles of operation of modern devices used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning
The graduate knows and understands in an extensive degree of selected issues in the field of detailed knowledge - necessary to understand the thermal, flow, ventilation and air conditioning processes occurring in environmental engineering.
The graduate knows and has an in-depth understanding of the latest development trends and technologies in environmental engineering.
Graduates are able to use their knowledge for critical analysis, synthesis, creative interpretation and presentation of environmental engineering issues.
The graduate is ready to analyze the content obtained from various sources and to critically assess and use them in his professional work.
Assessment criteria
Method of assessment: defense of project work done independently.
Assessment condition: independent execution of project work and the positive outcome of its defense.
Completion of the course will end before the first day of the examination session
The course ends with a credit rating.
The rating depends on the correct implementation of the design work, answers to questions asked during the defense, the number of unjustified attendance.
Properly made design - grade 5
Errors in calculations - grade 4
A large number of errors in calculations - grade 3
Do not make the project within the deadline - grade 2
