Structural Engineering II GN6061

Course content:
- Notions and issues related to planning design; types of planning studies,
- Legal framework for investments in the areas with and without appropriate planning documentation in place,
- Legislation regulating planning design in Poland,
- The study of conditions and directions of spatial development: the principles and procedures applied, the document's drawing and text,
- The local spatial development plan: the principles and procedures applied, the document's drawing and text.

Learning outcomes:
- Understanding the significance of planning studies for the municipality's functioning and development;
- The knowledge of administrative procedures related to adopting planning studies,
- The ability to read and prepare own drawings of planning documentation,
- The ability to prepare and interpret text records of planning documents.

The student is able:
1. To appoint hydrological parameters of the river,
2. To appoint the course of the building line in the floodland,
3. To outline routes of floodbanks.
4. to determine the need of using the insulating crash barrier of green,
5. To develop the area with afforesting performing functional functions.

Assessment criteria

Individual projects are judged in the scope:
1. Of choice about needed design solutions,
2. Of performing needed calculations,
3. Of carrying out a project in the technical aspect,
4. The description and justifying caused solutions.
