Water Treatment Systems G04705
Course content: Typical composition of drincking and industrial water treatment (basic parameters), quality of water, overview of water treatment, systems of mechanical and physico-chemical water treatment, theory and principles coagulation and flocculation, clarification, filtration, disinfection, ion exchange, chemical oxidation and biological nutrient removal.
Learning outcomes: Understanding of processes during water treatment plant operation. Skill in designing of technology and facilities in water supply and treatment.
