Interferences in Electro-Energetic Systems ES2B200010
Course content:
Sources of electromagnetic disturbances, influence of disturbances on electric power systems, electromagnetic couplings. Principles of measurements of disturbance emissions and studies of immunity of electric and electronic equipment and systems to such disturbances. Elements and devices for overvoltage protection and complex zone concept for protection against disturbances of equipment and systems. Application of ATP-EMTP program in mathematical analyses of phenomena related to generation, propagation and influence of various disturbances on electric and electronic equipment and systems and protection against such disturbances.
Learning outcomes:
Acquirements of identification of sources of disturbances in electric power systems, assessment of various electromagnetic threats to such systems as well as selection and application of proper protective measures against disturbances. Competence in performing calculations and mathematical modelling of such problems.
