Course content: lectures
Vision, light quality and quantity parameters. Electrical methods of producing light. Types and characteristics of light sources. Light intensity distribution and illuminance. Light flux and point method of lighting design. Luminance and glare. Normative principles of indoor workplace lighting.

Getting to know of the safety rules in the laboratory of lighting engineering and operation of the luxmeter
Measurements of selected parameters of linear fluorescent lamps with magnetic power
Measurements of selected parameters of high intensity discharge lamps
Measurement of workplace lighting in the interior in accordance with EN 12464-1:2004
Measurements of selected parameters of reflector bulbs
Measurements of selected parameters of high power LEDs
Learning outcomes: Identifying types of light sources, their power supply circuits and parameters. Ability of practical use of the catalog data to carry out basic lighting systems
