Electric Power Grids and Systems EL08037
Course content:
Project - Calculation of the customer power loads. Choice of number, power and location of MV/LV transformer substations. Designing the routs of MV and LV overhead and cable lines. Selection of type and conductor size of MV and LV lines. Selection of line distribution and protection equipment. Study of lines crossing.
Laboratory – Current and load flow, voltage drops investigatios in MV distribution networks. Investigation of short-circuits in MV and LV electric power networks. Voltage regulation in distribution power networks. Metods of measurements of electric networks in power grides.
Learning outcomes:
Students will acquire a theoretical and practical knowledge in the scope of the electric power networks designing and practical realization of investigations and measurements in MV and LV power networks.
