Desing of the selected public building structure elements. Calculations of heat losses and gains. Design of the HVAC system. Estimation of the main energy consumption factors.

Learning outcomes
Student defines models and makes the analysis of structural elements. Knows the standard methods of loads determining in the structures
Student knows the rules of technical drawing necessary for reading and writing architectural data needed for the building and HVAC system design, as well as knows the rules for making a sanitary drawing using CAD
Student selects the materials and systems suitable for residential buildings
Student has a basic knowledge of analysis, design and construction of residential buildings. Makes the design and calculations of structural elements considering the conditions of ultimate limit state and serviceability of limit state.
Student is able to correctly select the tools to solve the problems of modelling, analysis and design of residential buildings.
Student can make the installation design, prepare the technical description and explain the scope of the project
Student can use the guidelines or standards for the HVAC system design, choosing system's schema and its components
Student can prepare the technical specifications of simple HVAC system
