Course content:
Lecture:roads technical and functional classification, horizontal and vertical alignment, cross-section elements, typical cross-sections, earthworks - calculation, distribution and mass haulage, road drainage - surface and deep drainage systems, dimensioning of ditches and culverts cross-sections, characteristic of street`s cross-section elements, environmental protection in roads designing, computer techniques of roads design;
Design: preparation of Z(G) class road with special attention given to horizontal and vertical alignment,transverse sections, soil mass calculation and transport, road drainage design;

Learning outcomes:
Preparing students for designing of roads and for cooperation with specialists from other industries related to construction (sanitary and storm water drainage) and contractors work.
