Course content:
Neoclassicism - art and rewolution in France. Romanticism in European countries (England, Germany, France).Historicism and academic art.Realism in the mid 19th century.Impressionism, neo-and postimpressionism.Secession in the European art. Symbolism in visual arts in late 19th century.Ekspressionism, Fauvism and other artistic groups in the early 20th century. Analytic and synthetic Cubism."Pittura metafisica" and surrealism.The Russian avant-garde 1910-1934.In the circle Ecole de Paris.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge of the history of modern art in Europe. Skill of formal- and comparative analysis of art's work.
