Architectural and Urban Design 1 AUM1001
Course content:
Revitalization of highly urbanized central space of a district town within the limits of a historical market square with special cultural values, in place where intensification of public functions is required, through a new functional and spatial arrangement and new architecture which fills gaps in frontages of the square, which makes up the town centre with administrative, cultural and educational, religious and service functions.
Learning outcomes:
To work out exemplary design activities as a discursive, intuitive and creative process which includes the synthesis of science, art and engineering technologies, which also respects the traditional canon of architectural and urban planning history, where students make use of interdisciplinary knowledge on history of the regional art, culturology and sociology.
Teaching principles in designing a communal living environment.
