Descriptive Geometry 1 AU1052
Course content: Basic concepts of projective geometry.
Geometric transformations on the plane and space.
Projections: Parallel projections and its invariants. Monge projections and their property. Polke's theorem and axonometry. Basic constructions and restitution of objects.
Copy of geometric objects (polyhedra, roofs) in various projections, their sections and shadows. The geometry of roofs and reproduction in different projections.
Learning outcomes: The use of descriptive geometry in architectural design. Construction and visualization of architectural objects - ability to copy in a flat mirror any three-dimensional geometric object with its shade in axonometry and Monge projections with any parallel lighting or point lighting. Copying the object based on a projection. Construction of cross sections and line penetration of solid.
