Water treatment systems ŚM1041
Course content:Typical composition of drincking and industrial water treatment (basic parameters), quality of water, overview of water treatment, systems of mechanical and physico-chemical water treatment, theory and principles coagulation and flocculation, clarification, filtration, disinfection, ion exchange, chemical oxidation and biological nutrient removal.
Learning outcomes: Understanding of processes during water treatment plant operation. Skill in designing of technology and facilities in water supply and treatment.

Assessment criteria
Lecture:
Allocating the lecture is a written test consisting of 15 questions that verify individual learning outcomes. A necessary condition to obtain credit check points in%: 50-60% - satisfactory; 61-70% - satisfactory plus, 71-80% - good, 81-90% good plus, 91-100% very good.
project:
Sufficient to assess the student knows how to:
1. Determine the flow diagram of the water treatment process for municipal purposes and industries on the basis of physico-chemical parameters of the water.
2. Perform calculations water treatment unit processes, select and calculate the unit.
The assessment of student meets the requirements of good points 1-2 and:
